It's been too dry for Portland, recently. The first real rain finally came (although I wouldn't compare it to the monsoon season of my hometown that I miss so much). The oils that cars left behind have been washing into gutters to reach other rivers.
I saw this on my way to work. Took the picture, tried my hand at photo manip in PS 5.5 to accentuate the features, and lo and behold, my first photo submission. I was really hoping for this effect when I took the picture and I think it came out pretty well; at least so much as I could hope for, accounting what I did in PS.
Lemme know whatcha think.

Fascinating. I do wonder what it would have done to the photo if you'd shot it at a slight angle, to add a little perspective... or if you'd had some light source to add a little shadow to it...
First off, I would love to say thanks for all of the comments
And second, THIS IS SO FRIKIN BEAUTIFUL!!! I love how you played around in photoshop to create such a colorful, unique piece.

IN. Credible. The colors in this shot completely floored me. I don't know if you have this up at DA Prints... if not, is there some way I can get a print of this image? I have to have it in my house. +fav
